About CM Sax

My journey with music began at 12 years old. I started on trombone before discovering the saxophone in December 2021 and from the moment I picked up my first sax, I knew I’d found my instrument.

Joining the Army Cadet Band gave me incredible early opportunities to perform at prestigious events, including the Household Division Parade in London, performances for the Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioners, and multiple Beating Retreat ceremonies at Edinburgh Castle. These experiences shaped me as a performer and gave me the confidence to play in front of large audiences.

Along the way, I’ve performed with community bands, rock bands and jazz ensembles, developing versatility across genres and learning how to adapt to different audiences and atmospheres.

At 15, I discovered house and disco music blended with live saxophone and instantly fell in love with the energy of it. The way sax could lift a room, build a drop, and create unforgettable moments completely changed my direction.

At 16, I left school to focus fully on studying music and developing my craft. That decision opened up even more opportunities, from ensemble performances to solo bookings and private events.

Through attending gigs with my father and connecting with some of Scotland’s talented saxophonists, I continued refining my style and building my confidence. That journey led me to launch CM Sax, combining technical training with the vibrant, feel-good energy of live event performance.

Today, I perform at weddings, corporate events and private celebrations, bringing atmosphere, style and a modern edge to every occasion.
